Description

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Cluster of Differentiation 14 (CD14) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate together with a biotinylated anti-CD14 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Bound CD14 is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of the stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.72 ng/ml, with an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reagents are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery was evaluated across five replicates per matrix. Recovery ranges and averages were 83%–100% (91%) for serum, 90%–103% (96%) for EDTA plasma, and 89%–102% (95%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 yielded recoveries of 83%–110%, 79%–100%, 90%–98%, and 82%–108% respectively for serum; 90%–98%, 90%–105%, 73%–109%, and 87%–91% for EDTA plasma; and 88%–103%, 77%–105%, 95%–98%, and 87%–110% for heparin plasma (n=5 each).
