Mouse Claudin 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative in vitro determination of mouse Claudin 5 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) together with a biotinylated anti-Claudin 5 detection antibody and HRP-avidin, with TMB substrate used to generate a colourimetric signal read at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of < 0.127 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. In spike-and-recovery testing supplied by the manufacturer, average recoveries were 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
