Mouse Claudin 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Claudin 2 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Claudin 2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and standards and samples are added so that Claudin 2 present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Claudin 2 Antibody binds the captured target, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then added. The resulting colour change, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to the amount of Claudin 2 captured, and the concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery and dilution linearity have been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Reported average recoveries are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Reported dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions spans 87–91% to 92–97% in serum, 90–105% to 79–108% in EDTA plasma, and 84–95% to 89–91% in heparin plasma (all n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.
