Mouse Citrate Synthase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Citrate Synthetase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Citrate Synthetase is pre-coated onto the microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and Citrate Synthetase present in each sample is captured by the immobilized antibody.

Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Citrate Synthetase Antibody binds the captured Citrate Synthetase, then an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Citrate Synthetase captured per well, and the concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <0.56 ng/ml, assay range is 1.56-100 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m.
