Run as a colorimetric assay on a pre-coated 96-well microplate, the kit uses a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP–avidin with TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm. The stated product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min, and components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed.

In mouse samples (n=5), mean recovery was 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 spanned 87–107% across the tested matrices.
