From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Chemokine C-C-Motif Ligand 1 (CCL1) ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse CCL1 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The manufacturer quotes an assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <32 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spiking recovery averages 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity is provided for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

The procedure uses an antibody specific for mouse CCL1 pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-CCL1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution; the resulting yellow colour intensity is proportional to CCL1 concentration and is read against a standard curve. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
