Mouse Chemerin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Chemerin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is intended for use with mouse samples on a pre-coated microplate, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader measuring absorbance at 450 nm.

The kit employs a sandwich immunoassay in which an antibody specific for Chemerin is immobilised on the plate to capture the target from standards and test samples. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Chemerin antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of Chemerin captured, allowing the concentration to be calculated from a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a product range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 26 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m. Sample recovery data report averages of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
