Mouse Ceruloplasmin ELISA Kit

An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of mouse ceruloplasmin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich ELISA format on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, employing a biotinylated anti-ceruloplasmin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is generated by a TMB substrate reaction and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance directly proportional to the amount of ceruloplasmin captured in each well.

The standard curve spans a product range of 0.781-50 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of 0.27 ng/ml, and the complete assay time is 4h 30m. In spiked recovery testing, serum (n=5) recovered 80-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) recovered 81-99% (average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5) recovered 80-89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 returned 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
