Mouse CD5 Antigen Like Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse CD5L/CT-2 in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The Mouse CD5L/CT-2 ELISA Kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection performed colorimetrically by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader. An antibody specific for CD5L/CT-2 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-CD5L/CT-2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a yellow product after addition of acidic stop solution whose intensity is proportional to the amount of CD5L/CT-2 captured in each well. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The manufacturer's reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.136 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing in mouse samples gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 90–99%, n=5) and 96% in heparin plasma (range 91–101%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the kit expiration date.
