Mouse CCL11 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse CCL11 (Eotaxin) in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The assay is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse Eotaxin is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody specific for Eotaxin, allowing the target to be bound by both the immobilized and detection antibodies. After removal of unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added, and the substrate solution reacts with HRP to develop colour in proportion to the amount of Eotaxin bound. Colour development is stopped by the addition of acid, and the optical density is measured using a microplate reader.

The kit has been shown to have no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant mouse Eotaxin. Stated performance characteristics include a product range of 15.63 – 1000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 0.73 pg/ml, an average recovery of 97% from serum samples, and a colourimetric detection format on a microplate platform. Components should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date.
