Mouse Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 1 ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 1, this sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is suitable for use with tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific to the target immobilised on the wells. Standards and test samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 1 is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450 nm using a standard curve.

The quantitative assay has a reported range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.113 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample recovery has been evaluated in serum (average 91%, range 80-102%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81-100%, n=5), and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across these sample types.
