Mouse Cathepsin K ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Cathepsin K in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Cathepsin K pre-coated onto a 96-well microtitre plate, with detection carried out using a Biotinylated Anti-Cathepsin K Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Following incubation with TMB substrate solution, the HRP enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Cathepsin K captured and is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 12.5–800 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.4 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. In spiked recovery testing, average recoveries of 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma were observed, with dilution linearity data provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across a 1:2 to 1:16 dilution series.
