Mouse Caspase 7 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Caspase-7 in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate to which an antibody specific for Caspase-7 has been immobilised. Standards and samples are added to the wells so that Caspase-7 is captured, and detection is carried out using a Biotinylated Anti-Caspase-7 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and the concentration of Caspase-7 is calculated by reading the optical density at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer's data, the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, the sensitivity is 0.064 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Spiked recovery was reported as 80–102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81–100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma and 80–89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma, with corresponding linearity data provided at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each of these sample types.
