Mouse Caspase 14 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Caspase-14 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

A 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Caspase-14. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Caspase-14 present in each sample is bound by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Caspase-14 Antibody is added and binds the captured Caspase-14. An HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added, followed by TMB substrate solution to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the Caspase-14 concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.072 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and an assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been observed in serum (range 83–100%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 90–98%, average 94%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 89–102%, average 95%, n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
