Mouse Cartilage Associated Protein ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse cartilage-associated protein (CRTAP/CASP) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with a CRTAP/CASP-specific antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and bound CRTAP/CASP is detected using a biotinylated anti-CRTAP/CASP antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and a TMB substrate that produces a yellow product after the addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is less than 0.056 ng/ml, with a standard curve range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total assay time of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing in undiluted samples (n=5 per matrix) gave averages of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity was demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%), and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%).
