Mouse Carboxypeptidase N1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Carboxypeptidase N1 (CPN1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for CPN1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by Biotinylated Anti-CPN1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the CPN1 concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.109 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery in serum samples (n=5) averaged 91% (range 80%–102%), while EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81%–100%) and heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80%–89%). Components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
