Mouse Carbonic Anhydrase I ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Carbonic Anhydrase 1/CA1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for Carbonic Anhydrase 1/CA1. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target protein is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Carbonic Anhydrase 1/CA1 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader to calculate concentration against a standard curve.

The product range is 0.781-50 IU/ml with sensitivity of <0.3 IU/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader using the pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip plate format. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported sample recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5).
