Mouse Brain Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

Distributed by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Brain Natriuretic Peptide in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specific for mouse reactivity, the assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader. The standard curve spans 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of less than 12.42 pg/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Validated spike-and-recovery performance averaged 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across all three sample matrices. The procedure involves adding standards and samples to BNP antibody-coated wells, washing, then incubating with a biotinylated anti-BNP antibody. An HRP-avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate. The reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of BNP captured. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
