Mouse Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Quantitative measurement is performed across a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of 0.060 ng/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery performance includes serum ranges of 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). The plate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for BDNF, and detection is achieved using a biotinylated anti-BDNF antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and a TMB substrate, with colour development terminated by an acidic stop solution.

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date. The assay has been cited in at least one publication.
