Mouse Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 (BMP7) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for BMP7 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and BMP7 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody.

After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-BMP7 Antibody binds the captured BMP7, followed by addition of an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of BMP7 captured in each well, and the concentration of BMP7 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve. The assay has a product range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 28 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Components supplied with the kit include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Recovery has been observed at 80%-102% in serum, 81%-100% in EDTA plasma and 80%-89% in heparin plasma across the tested sample types.
