Mouse Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 (BMP6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and the colourmetric reaction is read on a microplate reader at 450 nm. A standard curve is used to calculate BMP6 concentration.

BMP6 in the sample is captured by an immobilized antibody, then detected with a biotinylated anti-BMP6 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of BMP6 captured in each well. The quantitative assay range is 78.1–5000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of <28 pg/mL, and total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Validated recovery is serum (n=5) 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20 °C as instructed.
