Mouse Bone Morphogenetic Protein 4 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Bone Morphogenetic Protein 4 (BMP4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with absorbance read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

BMP4 in standards and test samples is captured by an immobilized antibody, detected with a Biotinylated Anti-BMP4 Antibody, and revealed using an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Validated spike-and-recovery averaged 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same three sample types.
