Mouse Biglycan ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Biglycan in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. It employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for Biglycan that has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and captured Biglycan is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Biglycan Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader, with colour intensity proportional to the Biglycan concentration in each sample.

The assay has a working range of 3.12-200 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <1.42 ng/ml, a total run time of 4h 30m, and is intended for use with a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers.

Spike-and-recovery was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each), with average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was demonstrated across the same three sample matrices.
