Mouse Beta-Site APP Cleaving Enzyme 1 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Mouse BACE1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) for the quantitative determination of mouse Beta-Site APP Cleaving Enzyme 1 (BACE1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cerebrospinal fluid, and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an immobilised antibody specific for BACE1, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-BACE1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate.

The TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of BACE1 calculated against a standard curve. The assay has a working range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.9 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. In spike-and-recovery testing, average recovery was 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma. Linearity was assessed across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Standards are provided as a lyophilised preparation covering 1000, 500, 250, 125, 62.5, 31.3, and 15.6 pg/ml, with sample dilution buffer serving as the zero standard.

The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, wash buffer concentrate, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit is intended for research use only.
