Mouse Bcl2 Associated X Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Bax in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a Bax-specific capture antibody immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Bax Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and detection is performed with TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Bax is calculated against the standard curve.

The standard curve covers an assay range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <24.5 pg/ml, and the complete assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported mean recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% for Heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5), with dilution linearity demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each sample matrix.
