Mouse Bactericidal/Permeability Increasing Protein ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Bactericidal/Permeability Increasing Protein (BPI) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate onto which standards and samples are added; BPI present in each sample is captured by the immobilised antibody and detected using a biotinylated anti-BPI antibody followed by HRP-avidin conjugate.

TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The kit demonstrates a sensitivity of <0.68 pg/ml, an assay range of 1.56-100 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%).

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
