Mouse B-Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Bcl-2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a standard sandwich enzyme immunoassay workflow using a pre-coated microplate: standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for Bcl-2, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Bcl-2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is colorimetric: TMB substrate produces a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a microplate reader and concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Sensitivity is reported as <6.5 pg/ml, with a quantitative assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery in serum (n=5) ranged from 87-101% with an average of 94%; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranged from 90-101% with an average of 95%; heparin plasma (n=5) ranged from 91-102% with an average of 96%. Linearity has been confirmed at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 across these sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
