Mouse ATPase, Cu++ Transporting Beta Polypeptide ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse ATP7b in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. Reactivity is mouse and the assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate. The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.

The principle of the assay uses an antibody specific for ATP7b pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added and any ATP7b present is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-ATP7b antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed using TMB substrate, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. Optical density is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of ATP7b is calculated by reference to that standard curve.

Stated sensitivity is 0.055 ng/ml with a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
