Mouse Aspartate Aminotransferase ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Aspartate Aminotransferase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. It is intended to be read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay uses a standard sandwich immunoassay format. An antibody specific for Aspartate Aminotransferase is pre-coated onto a microtiter plate; standards and samples are added and any analyte present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Aspartate Aminotransferase Antibody binds the captured target, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The manufacturer's quoted detection range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.118 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Reported average recoveries for spiked samples are 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma, with dilution linearity demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16 across the same sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
