Mouse Aquaporin 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Aquaporin 4 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Aquaporin 4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for Aquaporin 4, and detection is achieved with a biotinylated anti-Aquaporin 4 antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. Colour development is produced using TMB substrate, which changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative assay has a product range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <23.7 pg/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery validation across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5) gave average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively. Linearity was also assessed at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at either +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol; the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
