Mouse Apolipoprotein C4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Apolipoprotein CIV in serum, plasma or other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for Apolipoprotein CIV is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added and the target is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Apolipoprotein CIV detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.17 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Reported average recoveries are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.
