Mouse Apolipoprotein A5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com, the kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Apolipoprotein A V/APOA5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. An antibody specific for the target is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-APOA5 antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colourmetric microplate reader.

The assay has a measuring range of 3.12–200 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <1.45 pg/ml, with a total incubation time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Components supplied include the pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip plate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery has been validated in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%, n=5). Parallelism across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions has been demonstrated in serum (74–107%), EDTA plasma (79–108%) and heparin plasma (82–105%).
