Mouse Apelin ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Mouse Apelin ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Apelin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Apelin is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate; standards and samples are added and bound Apelin is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Apelin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to Apelin concentration, read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay range is 125–8000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Reported recovery (n = 5) is 80–102% for serum, 81–100% for EDTA plasma and 80–89% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is provided for all three sample types across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.
