Mouse Apelin 13 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this competitive ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of mouse Apelin 13 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format in which Apelin 13 in the sample competes with immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Apelin 13 antibody, with detection via an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is less than 3.9 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, and the protocol completes in approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Mean recovery has been validated at 91% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma and 95% in heparin plasma (n=5), with acceptable linearity demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for each matrix. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the label.
