Mouse Ankyrin Repeat Domain Protein 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Ankyrin Repeat Domain Protein 1 (ANKRD1) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for ANKRD1.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where ANKRD1 is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-ANKRD1 Antibody is added, which binds the captured ANKRD1. An HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added, and TMB substrate solution is used to visualize the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of ANKRD1 captured, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.052 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourmetric, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported recovery values are: serum average 91% (range 80%–102%, n=5), EDTA plasma average 91% (range 81%–101%, n=5), and heparin plasma average 84% (range 80%–89%, n=5).
