Mouse Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme (ACE) ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse ACE in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

The workflow employs an immobilised anti-ACE capture antibody, a biotinylated anti-ACE detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution; the resulting yellow colour intensity is proportional to the amount of ACE captured and is quantified against a standard curve. The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.126 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. In validation with n=5 samples each, ranges were 80-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma, and consistent values were obtained across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in all three sample types. Kit components include lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, and should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
