Mouse Angiopoietin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Angiopoietin 2/ANG2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for Angiopoietin 2/ANG2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target analyte is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Angiopoietin 2/ANG2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow colour is proportional to the amount of Angiopoietin 2/ANG2 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, by reference to the standard curve.

The stated sensitivity is <6.1 pg/ml and the assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with an assay time of 4h 30m. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), detection reagents, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Demonstrated recovery averages are 91% in serum, 91% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
