Mouse Amyloid Precursor Protein ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Amyloid Precursor Protein in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and uses a biotinylated detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, with visualisation via TMB substrate that yields a yellow product after addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration of Amyloid Precursor Protein is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The quantitative measuring range is 0.468–30 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.17 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Average recovery rates reported for n=5 samples are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% for Heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity has been evaluated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum (n=5) at 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% respectively; EDTA plasma (n=5) at 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; and Heparin plasma (n=5) at 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma and tissue homogenates.
