Mouse Amyloid Beta Peptide 1-40 ELISA Kit

The kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips) bound with Amyloid beta Peptide 1-40 antigen. During incubation, Amyloid beta Peptide 1-40 in samples or standards competes with the fixed amount of immobilized antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Amyloid beta Peptide 1-40 Antibody. Following washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added and TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of an acidic stop solution. The density of yellow colour, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, is inversely proportional to the Amyloid beta Peptide 1-40 concentration in the sample.
