Mouse Alpha Tocopherol Transfer Protein ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich ELISA kit intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse TTPA/TPP1 (alpha tocopherol transfer protein) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-TTPA/TPP1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate with TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml, an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery across sample matrices (n=5) was 80–102% in serum (average 91%), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (all n=5).

Kit components are stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as indicated on each item, and the protocol is suitable for tissue homogenate samples.
