Mouse Aldehyde Dehydrogenase, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro measurement of mouse ALDH2 (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase, Mitochondrial) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and produces a colorimetric readout on a standard microplate reader at 450 nm. An antibody specific for ALDH2 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-ALDH2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate yields a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to the ALDH2 concentration in each well and is quantified against a standard curve.

The stated assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.12 ng/ml, and the full protocol is completed in 4 h 30 m. Reported values are: serum 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity of dilution is also reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers; individual components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on the label.
