Mouse Agouti Related Protein ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Agouti Related Protein (AGRP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for AGRP pre-coated onto a microtiter plate to capture the target from standards and samples, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-AGRP Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow after the addition of stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of AGRP captured, allowing concentration to be calculated against a standard curve.

The assay is intended for mouse reactivity and runs in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Manufacturer-quoted performance includes a sensitivity of <28 pg/ml, an assay range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml, and recovery values of 80–102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81–100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma, and 80–89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma.
