Mouse Advanced Glycosylation End Product Specific Receptor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Advanced Glycosylation End Product Specific Receptor (RAGE) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for RAGE. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where RAGE in each sample is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-RAGE Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of RAGE is calculated by reference to the standard curve. The platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The reported product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of less than 0.058 ng/ml. Recovery data from the manufacturer indicate: Serum (n=5) 80%–102% (average 91%); EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%–100% (average 90%); Heparin plasma (n=5) 80%–89% (average 84%).
