Mouse Activating Transcription Factor 6 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse ATF6 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for ATF6 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-ATF6 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The concentration of ATF6 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm and referring to a standard curve.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.113 ng/ml and a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. It is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. Sample recovery was reported for serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%). Linearity data across serial dilutions are also provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
