Mouse ß-CTx ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse beta Crosslaps (β-CTx) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay runs over approximately 120 minutes (2 hours) on a pre-coated microplate, where β-CTx present in standards or samples competes with immobilised β-CTx for binding to a specific antibody. Following incubation, unbound components are washed away and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is added. After further incubation and washing, a TMB substrate solution is introduced to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; β-CTx concentration in the samples is inversely proportional to the OD450 value and is determined by comparison with the standard curve.

The kit is reported as specific for β-CTx with no reported cross-reactivity against other analogs or variants. Quantitative performance includes a product range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL. Spike-and-recovery testing (n = 10) demonstrated consistent recovery across serum (range 96–103 %, average 100 %), EDTA plasma (range 86–105 %, average 92 %) and heparin plasma (range 86–104 %, average 97 %). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for these same sample matrices.

The product is shipped at +4 °C. Kit components are stored at +4 °C, with certain components designated for −20 °C storage as detailed in the protocol manual. The kit should not be used past its expiration date, and repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
