Monkey Pg ELISA Kit

A competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey Progesterone in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay is reported to be specific for Progesterone with no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. It operates over a standard range of 0.313–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of <0.188 ng/mL, and uses a colorimetric detection readout at 450 nm on a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate.

The complete assay protocol takes approximately 2 hours. During incubation, Progesterone present in standards or samples competes with pre-coated Progesterone for binding to an assay-specific antibody. Unbound components are washed away and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is added; TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. The colour intensity is inversely proportional to Progesterone concentration and is quantified against a standard curve.

Spike-and-recovery performance is reported across multiple sample matrices: serum (n=10) shows an average recovery of 96% (range 85–103%), EDTA plasma (n=10) 97% (91–104%), and heparin plasma (n=10) 95% (90–99%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 is also reported across the same matrices, with serum ranging 82–105%, EDTA plasma 82–100% and heparin plasma 80–101%. Reagents are shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C as instructed in the protocol manual.
