Monkey Nerve Growth Factor ELISA Kit

An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich ELISA technique, using an antibody specific for NGF pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and the NGF present binds to the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NGF Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm, read on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to NGF concentration.

Reported sensitivity is <6.2 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample recovery values are reported for serum (80-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81-100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (80-89%, average 84%, n=5), with linearity ranges also reported for these sample types across dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. Storage temperatures vary by component between +4°C and -20°C as instructed in the kit insert.
