Monkey Interleukin 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey Interleukin 2 (IL-2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for IL-2. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where IL-2 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-IL-2 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by incubation with HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the IL-2 concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The quantitative assay has a measuring range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5.8 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. It is suitable for serum, plasma, cell lysates, tissue homogenates and cell culture supernates, and has been validated for recovery in serum (80–102%), EDTA plasma (81–100%) and heparin plasma (80–89%). Dilutional linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions.

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed in the protocol, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
