Monkey IL-16 ELISA Kit

A 4-hour sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA), the Monkey IL-16 ELISA Kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey IL-16 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids.

The assay delivers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a detection range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, with reactivity specific for IL-16 and no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. A pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate is used, where IL-16 in standards and samples binds to the immobilized capture antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for IL-16 is added to form an antibody-antigen-antibody sandwich complex. HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is then introduced, and TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is directly proportional to the amount of IL-16 captured, and concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing, with validated dilutions of 1:2–1:4 for both Rhesus monkey and Cynomolgus monkey serum. Recovery data show consistent performance, with average values of 94% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 98% for heparin plasma. The kit is shipped at +4°C and components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles and use past the expiration date.
