Monkey Erythropoietin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey erythropoietin (EPO) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for EPO immobilised on the wells. Standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-EPO antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of EPO captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is 16.27 pg/ml and the assay range is 46.8–3000 pg/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been characterised in serum (80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%), each with n=5. Dilution linearity was assessed for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions. The kit is read on a colorimetric microplate reader and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
